When starting up a new pool filtration system for the first time it will be important to establish your valve positioning as well as determine the pump RPM (or variable pump schedule) which allows you to then take and record the clean filter operating pressure. The clean filter operating pressure is a nnumber between 0 to 30 PSI which represents the normal operating pressure of your pool system when your filter is clean. Knowing this allows for you to establish the pressure at which you should clean your pool filter. Since clean operational pressure will be unique to every single pool it is important to note what your is as nobody will be able to tell you...it will apply only to your specific pool and each pool will have different "normal" pressures.
